Festive Chocolate Cookies

Ah! The holiday season! It's such a joyful and unifying time of year, whose monotonous aspects spread joy in every home, whether it's the simply indescribable magic of Christmas that animates our child's heart, the gourmet buffets decorated with appetizing logs and tasty stews or the snow that gently descends from the sky like bits of cotton wool detaching from the clouds. But if there's one side of the holiday season that I particularly love, it's the comforting cuisine associated with it. Here's a very themed recipe from this cheerful period that I recently found on the web and that instantly seduced me with its simplicity and crunchy texture: festive Christmas cane cookies.

Holiday cookies:

A complete box of chocolate cake mix
Desired amount of broken Christmas duck pieces, to taste (this ingredient can be removed from the recipe if you do not particularly like the mint and chocolate combination). However, it adds a unique aspect to the cookies that directly evokes the holiday season. )
1/2 cup of canola oil
Two eggs
Chocolate chips, to taste ( optional )
Steps to follow

Combine cake mix, Christmas cane pieces, canola oil and eggs in medium bowl. Mix with an electric mixer and gradually fold in the chocolate chips. Let stand in the refrigerator for one hour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Farenheit and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
Take a tablespoon of cookie dough and form into a ball. Repeat for the remaining mixture and place on the baking sheet and bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
There is now only one step left: tasting!
